Many people feel uncertain before their first session. Here is exactly what to expect — no surprises.

Arrival & Check-In
You arrive and settle in. Neil takes a few minutes to check how you are, what has changed since your last session, and what you want to focus on today. There is no rush.

Induction
Neil guides you into a state of focused, calm relaxation using a gentle verbal induction. Most people describe it as feeling deeply absorbed — similar to being lost in thought or just before sleep. You remain aware throughout.

The Hypnotherapy Work
With your conscious mind at ease, Neil uses tailored techniques — visualisation, suggestion, or solution-focused methods — to work on the patterns you want to change. You cannot be made to do or say anything you are not comfortable with.

Return & Debrief
Neil gently brings you back to full awareness. You discuss what came up, how it felt, and any observations. Sessions typically last 50–60 minutes.

Between Sessions
Neil may suggest simple self-hypnosis or mindfulness exercises to practise between appointments. These reinforce the in-session work and build momentum.
